A/V sync error correction with lve ---------------------------------- somtimes and mostly in DVB mpegs there may occur shifts between audio and video. mainly this will be caused by transport errors or faulty reads from CD/DVD media. there was already a mechanism to correct the A/V sync using the "|<[ +0]>|" control in the middle bar of lve. but this was spread over total all scenes of the edit-list and could be used only to shift audio against video for the whole final video. in the new lve release now the shift value can be adjusted for each single scene separately (with the same control). it will work both in edit-list and in media-list(!) too. if the source video for example gets out of sync somwhere in the middle, it can be splitted (in media-list) at the fault position. then the shift for the 2nd. scene can be corrected just in media-list(!) choosing the desired adjust value. all subsequently splits of the 2nd. scene will inherit this value. but if needed, the shift of these scenes can be corrected again separately. now these prepared scenes can be dragged to the edit-list and they will keep their shift adjust value. normally there would be no need to change the adjust value of a scene in edit-list, as long as it was done already in media list properly. (but it's possible, if desired). if more than one scene is marked, sync adjustments will concern all scenes of this range belonging to the same ID (source file). at all, this would be hopefully enough flexibility to react to A/V sync problems. NOTE: old media- and edit-list files canīt be used momore with this lve- release.
